We dug this hole for a citrus tree we planned to put in but changed our mind about which tree we would put here. My brother actually dug this hole out back when he came with the blueberries. It was late when we finished, so Christian covered up the hole with a cement slab so that no one would fall in.
After my gopher incident, we were taking a look around the yard and uncovered the hole to see where the gophers might be heading to. We found several holes all around the hole that led in and out of the hole that we dug. These were NOT there before. So as far as we could figure, the gophers thought that we provided them a grand dining hall they can come and meet in.
So, ever the hostess, I decided to do my duty and provide nourishment for my 'guests'. The treat came in the form of this here...
