We attempted to go to an Easter Devotional early Saturday morning at the top of Mt. Rubidoux. We got there about 10 minutes late as it is difficult to get the kids going in the morning. Then, we couldn't find parking and had to walk a ways to get to the trail head. The kids mostly hiked up on their own, well, except for Caitlyn as Daddy loves to give her shoulder rides. But she walked and ran up a good way too. It was difficult to get the kids to stay on track to make it to the top. They like to stop and investigate things and climb on the rocks and stuff.Right before we rounded the bend to the top of Mt. Rubidoux, members of our ward started coming down. They just finished the devotional. Basically, there were only about less than a dozen people from our ward there and about a hundred members of another church who went up that day (not to mention the other hikers and joggers). The other church had music blaring from huge speakers, microphones and amplifiers. It was quite unpleasant. Somebody was selling water bottles for a buck and yelling it at the top of their lungs. We saw some other hikers complaining to the park rangers about it. We wanted to just leave with those heading down, but as the girls hiked all the way up there, they wanted to get to the top and walk around. So the rest of the people headed to the park for refreshments and we took the girls the rest of the way.
Emily wanted to do some rock climbing. We got a few pictures of her.
Usually, her sister would try her hand it as well, but she seemed exceptionally lazy this day. We found out shortly after that her feet were hurting because her shoes did not fit even though she had been insisting that morning that they were not too tight. Daddy ended up having to carry her the entire way down after that. She is not as little as she used to be so by the time we made it down, it was late and dad's back was killing him.

Hey I really like that last picture. It is really cool looking!
I love those pictures!
The only problem is that I can't seem to click on most of the pictures anymore to see a larger image. It used to work fine and now it is just hit and miss. I have no idea what is going on.
