A White Caldwell Christmas - Part 2

In the morning, Christian's mom made everybody pancakes and we were off again. This time, I went out to see what the kids had been up to since I did not go out to watch them the evening that we arrived.

There was a nice sledding run right outside the back door.
They also made a little jump at the end of it.
Caitlyn was not as enthusiastic about the jumps as Emily, but most of the pictures that I took of Emily had this really weird look on her face because she was scared or anticipating the landing. Apparently, it kind of hurt when you landed, so we actually got a lot of funny pictures of everyone landing.

The boys had started an igloo in the tennis court area, so the kids helped them finish it and haul new snow for the project.
We moved on to a new area to find bigger and better sledding runs.

They had some snow ball fights.
Apparently, the little girls were not so good and throwing or aiming, so it wasn't much of a fight.

We had to make a snowman, of course.
At this point, it was time to check out of the timeshare so everyone had to return to pack up. The Pierce's had to go home and the rest of us moved over to a lodge by the marina. We checked in and went to the village for some lunch and shopping.
Shopping in the crowded village isn't really our thing, so we just followed along.

Afterwards, we retired back to the lodge. The adults went to rest up and the kids went out to play some more. Emily wanted more sledding. The only hill at the lodge was right next to the water...otherwise, it was all flat. Caitlyn did a little bit, but wanted to build her own snowman as Aunt Erin and I did most of the previous one. Emily and I started to build another sledding jump as the run wasn't all that steep or long. Another father and his kids was watching and came over to help as they wanted to use it too. Emily got on some pretty good jumps this time and she was using a more padded sled.
The sun was starting to set, so the lighting was kind of neat. Christian came out to help Caitlyn with her snowman.
Christian's mom came out with us for a while too, but everyone else was taking a nap before dinner.
We took some family pictures.
I wanted to take one with everyone in it, but the Pierce's left early and everyone else was sleeping. We went in to warm up a little while we waited for everyone to get up for dinner.

We had dinner at Sizzler. We were pretty hungry. Caitlyn had so much of the cheese toast that she could barely eat her kid sized meal though.

The girls had fun sleeping at the lodge. They had a big bed to themselves. Caitlyn liked exploring in the room. They have never stayed at a hotel or anything before, so it was a new experience.
They got to go to bed watching the Wizard of Oz on t.v.
